Annual price adjustments affect almost all products and services, and unfortunately, highway toll stickers are no exception. Below, we summarize the most important changes that drivers will have to consider in 2025.
How much have highway toll stickers increased in price in 2025?
With an average increase of about 3.4%, it is easy to calculate how much the stickers will cost compared to 2024. This price increase applies to all categories, including the D1 category for passenger cars. The new prices for car stickers are:
- The 1-day sticker increases from 5,150 to 5,320 HUF.
- The weekly sticker (10 days) rises from 6,400 to 6,620 HUF.
- The monthly sticker increases from 10,360 to 10,710 HUF.
- The annual national sticker rises from 57,260 to 59,210 HUF.
- The annual regional sticker now costs 6,890 instead of 6,660 HUF.

In addition to sticker prices, fines have also increased. Therefore, it is even more important to stay informed to avoid unnecessary penalty costs and spend the money on shared experiences instead.
As of January 1, 2025, the penalty amounts have changed as follows:
- The fine for payment within 60 days is 26,640 HUF.
- For payments made after 60 days, the fee increases to 91,780 HUF.
According to Regulation 45/2020 (XI. 28.) ITM, the surcharge fees for unauthorized use have also been adjusted:
- The base surcharge (if paid within 60 days) is 14,900 HUF.
- The increased surcharge (if paid after 60 days) is 47,180 HUF.
