In autumn, the direction of movement of large wild game changes, so during this time of the year the game-vehicle collisions are particularly common. Therefore, we should drive more carefully on road sections where the appearance of wild animals is expected.
Particular caution is especially advisable at dawn and dusk. In autumn, however, there will be more frequent game-vehicle collisions, as this is the period of mating season of deer. If we observe wild animals near the road, or we have seen an animal (for example a deer) passing there, we should slow down, as wild animals do not usually move alone but in groups.
It is important to know that with the arrival of the new season, wild animals will behave differently, and their direction of movements will change, as well. Their perception of risk and their vigilance decreases, but their activity increases especially in the evening twilight, during the night and early dawn hours.
Due to the increased risk of wildlife, drivers need to pay greater attention on the road sections where the hazard is not indicated by a traffic sign.
Unfortunately, sometimes it may happen that wild animals get on the Hungarian motorways. Do You know who You should call in this case, who You should contact?
